PASHA strongly believes the best way to achieve good health is by actively engaging all members of the community. You can bring about change in your local and global community by getting involved in our efforts. There are numerous ways to get involved with PASHA. We rely on your donations to provide the means for making an impact. Click on the donate button to donate to one of our numerous projects and/or events. We also encourage you to propose a project to improve health. All it takes on your part is an innovative idea for improving heath. We will help you translate your idea into reality. Involvement in PASHA Board
PASHA has university chapters run by undergraduate students and an executive board based in Los Angeles. The PASHA undergraduate boards work directly with the executive board. All PASHA executive board members and undergraduate board members are volunteers. Both groups propose and implement ideas and projects related to improving health locally and globally. Traditionally, the bulk of our board members have been student volunteers, however, non-students are encouraged to apply.
Volunteers Needed
We are currently seeking an individual with administrative experience to volunteer 5 hours a week to our organization. Responsibilities include attending weekly meetings, documenting minutes, and assisting with other administrative responsibilities. If you are interested please contact us.

Serving on the PASHA Board
If you are interested in serving on the PASHA board, please fill out and submit our application. Board positions are one year positions and are filled in the summer. At times positions become available mid-year. You can learn about open positions by contacting us at info@pasha4health.org
Role of PASHA Board Members
Executive Board Members
Executive board members are expected to attend weekly meetings and participate in meetings of the committees in which they serve. They are expected to participate in weekly conference calls with the executive board, and president and vice-president of the undergraduate chapter. The role of executive board members is to supervise, assist, and mentor the undergraduate board members in activities/projects. In addition, executive board members must evaluate the performance of undergraduates and assist in writing letters of recommendation to support the undergraduates who show exceptional effort and leadership.
Undergraduate Board Members
Undergraduate students have the opportunity to serve on the PASHA university chapter boards in different capacities. Please see below for the different roles.
President
The main job of the president is to be an organizer and manger. This individual is responsible for running weekly meetings. Other responsibilities include ensuring that all events, projects, meetings, and calls take place at their designated date and time. The president must send out reminders for activities/events. It is the responsibility of the president to ensure that undergraduate board members are fulfilling their duties. The president is expected to serve as a liaison between the undergraduate board and the executive board.

Vice President
The vice president is expected to assume the role of the president, in the latter’s absence. The vice president must actively assist the president in organizing and managing the activities of the organization. When workload demands are heavy, the vice president will be asked to solely manage components of the organization’s functioning.
Webmaster
The webmaster is expected to update the PASHA website once a week. This individual should be independent and needs to update the website as discussed during weekly meetings. The webmaster is also expected to make additional changes to the website if asked by the executive board or the president. The webmaster shall also assist PASHA in all computer-related activities, including posting education videos on youtube, helping design fliers, and advertising for events on social networking websites and other sites.
Program Coordinators
The program coordinators will be responsible for one PASHA program. The program coordinator serves as leader and shall assume all responsibilities for his or her program. This involves setting up meetings with the committee and ensuring the committee makes timely progress to meet its objectives. He or she is expected to attend general PASHA weekly meetings and update the board on the activities of their program.
Secretary
The secretary is the book keeper of the organization. This individual is expected to record minutes at ALL general weekly meetings and take roll at these meetings.
Interns
Interns will serve on committees related to projects that they are interested in. Their responsibility is to attend all committee meetings and participate actively in events/projects. Interns are expected to attend monthly meetings with the board.
